About
Long bio
Frank Porco is a practicing physician whose long parallel inquiry into origins — geological, biological, civilizational — has produced his first book-length work, Genesis Revised, forthcoming from Revision Pressworks.
The book is the synthesis of that inquiry: a single sustained argument that holds across deep time, evolutionary biology, prehistoric migration, and the cultural record of how each of those stories has been remembered. Its method — what Porco calls Panology, the study of everything — is synthetic across geology, genomics, archaeology, mythology, and astrophysics, anchored throughout in the published record.
Porco distinguishes his work sharply from the genres it could be confused with. Genesis Revised is revisionist history in the strict sense — the reinterpretation of accepted facts in light of evidence the consensus has not yet caught up with — and not alternative history that fabricates facts. The distinction is the wall the book is built on.
He writes alongside a continuing medical practice. The writing is a parallel inquiry, not a retirement project.
